Founded in 2010, GetTaxi is a global virtual taxi grid across three continents with game-changing technology and an unbelievable customer experience that takes transportation to lofty new heights.
GetTaxi needed a design partner that could work with its technology team to deliver a slick, high quality experience across a range of mobile devices. Challenged to find an agency with the skill set required and the ability to easily work alongside a global team operating over multiple time zones, they looked to D/Workz as the right fit.
Along with a cohesive brand identity, we developed the user experience and designed a free iPhone and Android app to serve both passengers and taxi drivers.
Since the application's launch, GetTaxi has signed on over 20,000 taxi drivers. With over 10 million downloads, 1,500+ corporate customers, 210 million dollars in funding and rave reviews from drivers and passengers alike, the app has enjoyed phenomenal success.
During the branding process, we always explore multiple design solutions to learn what works and what doesn't.
This process enables us to clearly see where the brief and execution is taking us and allows us to define a great brand.
Before jumping into UI design, we carefully map out all features, and define two critical components: App's Flow and Wireframes.
D.Workz team designed intuitive native apps for iOS and Android.
As always, we aimed to keep it simple and functional.
GetTaxi uses your phone's GPS to detect your location and connects you with the nearest available driver. Get picked up anywhere — even if you don't know the exact address.
When you request a ride, GetTaxi will find a nearest driver and let you track their location on the map. Feel free to put your phone away — the app will notify you when your ride arrives. Your driver's name and car details appear in the app, and you can call your driver if you need to.
You don't need cash when you ride with GetTaxi (though there is an option to pay with cash). Once you arrive at your destination, your fare is charged to your credit card on file. You will receive your receipts straight to your inbox. After your trip, you can rate your experience and leave additional feedback about your driver.
Two taxi models were created in 3D to bring visual excitement to the "Taxi is Here" screen.
That's right, black cab is for UK app, where the yellow one is for the rest of the world.
